3 things to consider when booking with me
-
Maui is known for being windy!
In a morning session, you can anticipate much calmer winds and less crowded beaches. Sunset sessions are known to more windy , so keep that in mind if you’re worried about your hair! -
Hawaii is anywhere from 2-6 hours behind the mainland depending on where you are coming from. Your little ones will likely be up much before the sun comes up and will be exhausted by sunset. Therefore, I do suggest sunrise sessions for families traveling with young ones!
-
I arrive early to every session ready to get creative and capture your family authentically. I will be guiding you through the entire session with poses and prompts. I love having fun and making everyone laugh throughout our time together!

My first word of advice is to wear something that you feel good in! Don’t worry too much about matching perfectly... instead, find colors that complement each other and that don’t take away from the beautiful Hawai’i backdrop! Pick one print and pull solids from that print for everyone else. I love whites, neutrals, corals and blues.

I absolutely provide direction whenever needed, but that doesn’t mean your photos are going to feel stiff or posed. Giving great direction means letting you know where to go, getting you to do something fun and capturing the real moment of laughter between you and yours. One piece of feedback that I have received the most, is that I was able to make everyone feel at ease and comfortable during the session.
